The Carbon AK is the carbon version of Ashley Kidd’s signature board: lighter and more responsive still, it is the liveliest board in the Connelly range.

Who is it for?

For the expert surfer chasing speed and tricks. 4′6″ (137 cm) up to 77 kg, 4′10″ (147 cm) from 73 kg.

What sets it apart

Its tail rocker, full-length concave base and fairly narrow width generate speed easily. PU foam core, Ghost Grip with rear EVA pad, two carbon-reinforced 3.6″ fins. A previous-season model, sold new while stocks last.

• Wakesurfing is only done behind an inboard boat, with the propeller under the hull.
• A rope: see our surf ropes.
• A vest or buoyancy aid of at least 50 N, and a second person on board keeping watch.
